As an Operating Room Liaison, you’ll be responsible for building important relationships between the sterile processing department, the operating room staff, and facility administrators. You’ll be the go-to person, making sure everything is in place for every surgery and solving any problem that could arise, whether it’s a missing or dirty instrument or a scheduling mishap.

*Key Responsibilities:*

· *Case Flow Management:* Track case flow and notify the Sterile Processing Department of additional needs.

· *Instrument Coordination:* Coordinate instrument turnarounds and communicate with the surgical team.

· *Tray Accuracy:* Review surgical trays for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

· *Data Analysis:* Perform data analysis to identify operational issues.

· *Instrumentation Maintenance:* Assist in cleaning and maintaining instrumentation.

*Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed:*

· *Education:* High School Diploma or GED required.
* *Experience:* *1 year of experience* in a Sterile Processing, Surgical Technology, or Operating Room Technician role *with an Associate’s Degree *
*OR*
*2 years of experience* in a Sterile Processing, Surgical Technology, or Operating Room Technician role *without an Associate’s Degree*.

· *Skills:* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and smartphone usage, Knowledge of OR workflow, procedures, medical terminology, and infection control, Strong communication and analytical skills, Ability to multi-task, plan, and organize effectively.

· *Certification: *Certification in a related field or ability to obtain within 12 months.
